The project highlights Cassatt’s bold artistic vision, emphasizing themes of intimacy, empowerment, and defiance. Through carefully curated materials such as a catalog, banners, and a website, the project ensures a seamless and immersive experience that honors Cassatt’s legacy.
The design system balances elegance and boldness, reflecting Cassatt’s ability to elevate domestic life into profound artistic statements. Avenir Next LT Pro and Adobe Garamond typefaces convey a harmony between modernity and classicism. Inspired by Cassatt’s Impressionist color palette, the visual language incorporates diagonal lines (Path of Defiance) to symbolize her rejection of societal norms and horizontal lines (Threads of Connection) to highlight unity in her subjects.
